The objective of these lessons are to create awareness of the levels in space the body can be in while moving through space, or being held in stillness in own space. In these lessons the focus is on the the level of the body in relation to the floor surface. Low Level, Medium Level and High Levels are focused on. Beginning with one Level at a time, and a description of the characteristics of each level, (IE: Low Level; The majority of your body is as close to the ground as you can get.) Allow the class to make shapes and travel in each level, practicing at least three ways in each. Allow the students to use all the levels, with some choice in the way they travel or the level they use.
